Busy Beth!

Man, time sure has flown these last 2 weeks. I spent the first week getting ready for: Mom and Dad, Mom's sisters, and our soon-to-be, hope, anyway annual fall weenie roast and pumpkin carving. The house was cleaned at least picked up anyway...so much to do. Weekend was great. We had a great turnout here at the house for the weenie roast.

Mom and Dad came in on Friday night. Mom and I got up and met her sisters in Arcola which is about 40 minutes away. Mom and I had so much fun. We stopped at Rockome Gardens, moved on to The Great Pumpkin Patch in Arthur and on to downtown Arthur. We ended our day at Tuscola outlet mall. The night began with dinner at Applebee's with Doug, Jim, Dad, Connie, Shirley, Mom and me. Connie, Shirley, Mom and me went back to the hotel after dinner and played UNO until midnight. We had so much fun. Shirley and Connie came out to the house. I think they really liked it. They left at about 3:30 headed back to Tennessee.

Mom and Dad and I worked in the yard on Monday. We pulled all of the "wild flowers" out from the front of the house. It looks so much better. We went to town to do some shopping.

I found my kitchen table. Jim and I purchased it Monday night. It should be here Saturday Oct 23. Now we can start to have friends over to dinner and maybe play some cards.

Jim and I are finally getting to Nashville this weekend. We are (at least I am) excited to go. This will be the first time we see our new newphew. I am just as excited to see my neice. She is so cute. Doug is going to puppy sit as well as house sit for us this weekend.

Things are going to slow down come the last weekend in Oct. Then it will be time to start getting ready for the holidays.

We found out tonight that Jim's sister and her family will be here the Sunday before Thanksgiving. You know, I realized tonight that family is more important than work. I will take Monday off to spend time with them.

It's 10:51 and the Cards are up by 2 runs! Go Cards! Redbirds do it best!
