Parents are so frustrating

I called my mom and dad last Thursday to see how they were. Dad told me that Mom was having to stop every couple of steps to take a breath. I told him that he needed to take her to the hospital. He said it was up to her. I told him it was not because she wouldn't go. So finally she put a call into her doctor. He called her back she was telling him how she was feeling, that maybe it was just fluid that was backed up. ( he is suppose to be the doctor) Well he called her in a prescription for some water pills. So Dad went and picked them up. I called her on Friday to see how she was feeling. Mom told me that she didn't get much sleep because she was up and down all night going to the bathroom. She did say that she was feeling better. Well I called on Saturday and she said that she was okay. About 2 ish my little brother called me and said that they were on the way to the ER to see what was going on. Alan told me that the doctor she was seeing would get to the bottom of it. They ran blood work, did some x-rays but they didn't find anything. So they sent her home. (The ER doctor did tell her that she needed some extensive pulminary testing done and to keep her appt with her dr on Monday). She went to the doctor on Monday and he told her (the quack) that she didn't need pulminary testing done. (I was pissed when Dad told me that on Monday night). He did tell her to keep her appt at the sleep diagnostic clinic on Tuesday. Well on Tuesday Alan called and said that Mom went to the dentist to check on the mouth surgery she had last week. Well she went to get up out of the chair and she started having chest pains. I had told her last week to call her heart doctor to see if she could get an appt with him. (She told me that she had called before and they had jumped her case and not to call unless it was an emergency)(Hello...I think this constituates an emergency). Well they did run more Xrays and put a heart monitor on her and did a lung scan. The lung scan didn't show anything. Her regular doctor told her that he wanted to see her on Wed and that Dad should call on Wed to make an appt. Well he did. The nurse told him that they would call him back once the doctor looked at the results. I still had not heard from them at 5 on Wed so I called. The doctor still had not called. ( I was really pissed off) (He is off on Thursday). Finally the nurse did call. Mom has an appt on Tuesday for a heart monitor. She will wear it for 24 hours and then on Wed she will go to the diagnostic clinic to get her oxygen/water mask for her to wear at night. She has an appt on March 27 for pulminary testing. Will keep you up to date.
