I called and have talked to all the family. Everyone is fine. There was a lot of damage in Dyer County Tennessee. Newbern specifically. I have 3 aunts and cousins that live in Newbern and the surrounding area. 3 of my cousins were out all night, one works for a power and light company, he told my aunt that there were at least 40 telephone poles that were missing. They couldn't find them anywhere. My other 2 cousins are volunteer fire dept and they were out all night also. One went home at 5 am and the other at noon. There were 15 people killed in Newbern and 8 in Gibson County which is south east of Dyer County.

Sounds like the storm system was a very long one. It was the same system that also hit up here in Central IL. No major damage here in the Mahomet area but there were several buildings that were torn up in Champaign.

We are lucky that is wasn't too bad this time around.
