Memorial Day weekend blahs

Well this weekend was suppose to be a Tennessee weekend. You know drive home with the pups spend some time with family, enjoy good home cooking and barbecue and a West Tennessee Diamond Jaxs baseball game with Mom and Dad. Check out my aunt's new hobby, visit with my grandmother and have a great overall weekend. HA! so much for that.

Here 's how the weekend really was/is...

It all started on Wednesday night with the arrival of my Pampered Chef goodies. I sorted everything and got it delivered to girls that live on the street that night. Put everything in the back of the Pathfinder to cart it to work on Thursday.

I was up in the middle of the night with stomach problems with lasted about 2 1/2 hours. I struggled out of bed 4 hours later at the sound of the alarm going off. Jumped into the shower to get ready for work. I knew I was running late so I threw some hair mist on the mop and blew dry the bangs so I wouldn't scare anyone. Threw some clothes on and headed to the kitchen to fix me some breakfast. Jim was already up and had the pups out to go potty. I stopped in the kitchen and sat down. I was aching so bad. It didn't feel like the flu aches. It was an ache that would move all over my body. I was still having stomach problems also. It seemed like the more I moved the more I ached. I stayed home on Thursday from work.

I was able to go to work on Friday but not feeling up to my normal self. I skipped lunch and headed home about 2 pm to lay down again.

We were suppose to leave on Friday night to go home, but ended up resting most of the night. Saturday morning I woke up still aching but not as severly as the day before. I still had to stop and rest after walking from the bedroom to the the kitchen. Jim still had a headache so we decided it would be best that we stay at home and try to get over what this stuff we had.

Sunday was a lot better. We both felt good enough to get out of the house for a couple of hours. We drove to town to do some errands and then came back home. I was able to walk in Target as well as Lowes and not be tired or winded like I was on Saturday. We watched a movie on Sunday night and I went to bed about 12:30 am. Jim didn't come to bed until 2 am.

He is paying for it today. Down with a headache. I am feeling much better but now worried about Mom.

This morning Dad took Mom to the emergency room because she was hurting and couldn't breathe. She was also hurting in her right arm and shoulder. The hospital ran some tests and found that her calcium and potassium was low as well as her magnesium. They are going to keep her and have run one bag of magnesuim through as well as started her on another one.

Will post more later as the news becomes available.

Beth

Oh my gosh. I am so sorry to hear that you aren't feeling well and about your mom. I hope that they find that she is okay and there aren't any lasting effects. Thinking of both of you...
