Marley and Me by John Grogan
I don't ever remember crying after reading a book. But this one hit so close to home. Not the antics of Marley, but just knowing that my babies won't be with me forever. In fact after I finished the book tonight, I took both of them for a jaunt around the neighborhood. That is all they want, just to be with you. There was an excerpt from the book about whether or not if Marley would protect what is his...yes he came through. I think Bumper would do the same...I know Tipsy would.
I STRONGLY recommend reading Marley and Me by Josh Grogan. In fact I think after reading it you will bring something away after reading it. That lesson...well it hasn't come to me just yet, but it will. Reading it will also open your eyes to why people love their dogs so much.
I had a friend to ask if someone or something was attacking my baby would I hurt them? You better believe it! I would tear it (animal) or them (human) limb from limb with my bare hands.
READ the book, take your own lesson from it. Mine...nothing lives forever. Take the time to listen and love wholeheartedly. Nothing compares to the love and loyalty of a dog.
